Tin Can Drums for the Farm

In Abeokuta, a group of Primary 1 pupils gathers empty tin cans that once held milk and tomatoes. Instead of throwing them away, the children clean the cans carefully and decorate them with bright colors. With adult guidance, sharp edges are covered to make the cans safe to use.

The cans are turned into small drums, and the class uses them during a farm-song rehearsal while working in the school garden. As they play and learn, the children discover that reuse can be creative, fun, and safe when done properly.
