Bottles Became Gardens

In a school in Osogbo, Tunde and his classmates notice many empty plastic water bottles left behind after break time. Instead of throwing them away, their teacher shows them how to reuse the bottles by cutting them, filling them with soil, and planting efo tete and ugu inside.

As the plants begin to grow, the children discover that something once called “waste” can become useful and beautiful. The bottle gardens soon brighten the school environment and give the pupils a sense of pride and responsibility.
